Hermitage (#10)

I am afraid that I often do not give moths the attention due them, particularly if they are small and monochromatic.

It is so easy to be seduced by the brilliant colors and patterns of butterfly wings and thus treat their plain cousins as though their images are not worth receiving.

But they too give glory to our Father in their own simple way. This little one particularly caught my attention.


Wings folded, prayerfully at rest, I see in this tiny insect the shape of a pure and humble heart.

May I receive from our Creator the gift His creature inspires…
